Earnest Hemmingway said, "When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen." One of the greatest skills I can offer you as a Individual and Marriage and Family Therapist is to listen completely and actively. I will also strive to strengthen and empower you throughout your therapeutic journey. I hope to work with you in developing skills, techniques, and identify necessary tools for you to use throughout your life.
I strive to cultivate a safe space where clients can share their story, gain insight on those experiences that impacted them, and create a new more fulfilling reality. I implement various therapeutic approaches including family systems, solution focused, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy cooking and baking my favorite and new recipes. I enjoy spending time with family or enjoying quiet time reading a book, watching a movie, or indulging in retail therapy.
I work with clients from a collaborative, strength-based approach, assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives. I have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and parenting challenges, self-esteem, and trauma including grief and loss. I strongly believe that everyone has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing and will help unlock a different perspective of those experiences to foster change and growth.
